Haiti Assessment Trip #2

Met RescueNet team at Comfort Inn. Got update on intel and what to expect in Haiti.

Frustrating experience doing the phone runaround with Vision Airlines, Miami Air and a few other charter flight connections. Decided to take the matter into my own hands and went to airport to book a flight to Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Whilst boarding the flight I met a pastor (John C) from First Baptist Church, Rogers, AK who is part of a group with “Thirst No More”. John invited me to travel with their group into Haiti on their chartered bus.

Arrived at SD and discovered there was no room at hotel. Paid $35 to go to cheap hotel about 20 mins from airport. Food at hotel good but not sure if it was a good part of town.

Slept 5 hours or so in noisy room.
