Haiti: 7.0 Magnitude Earthquake
Following the devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti yesterday, CoAid is monitoring the situation very closely. As the full extent of the situation becomes clear, we will be formulating our response which is likely to take the form of recovery than immediate disaster relief. CoAid is contacting other agencies who have a presense in Haiti and we hope to partner with them to deliver aid.
In the meantime we ask that you pray that the $25,000 we recently won from Chase Bank would soon be made available to us. We hope to use a large proportion for this for relief aid. We are only disappointed that we are not in a position to help in Haiti right now.
Please don't forget to vote for CoAid on Facebook on Friday 15th January and support our work with victims of conflict and natural disaster. See http://apps.facebook.com/chasecommunitygiving/charities/931863 for details.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
