Impressed at the level of team work
One of the most satisfying parts of my job at CoAid is to see how other people run with their delegated tasks. In India right now there are people I've never met who are self-organizing and readying themselves to respond to the most urgent needs. The only frustrating thing is that we weren't prepared in time to get the necessary funds to them by now.
In Colorado, we have board members and supporters rallying to the cause, and online supporters from around the globe are helping in whatever way they can.
This morning we received a large donation that means we can send at least one team into the field very soon. We're praying earnestly for more funds to become available. At times I wished I was personally massively wealthy and that writing a cheque for $50,000 or more was no big deal. In any case, it's gratifying to know that our human capital is showing its worth and true value as we see the necessary tasks being completed by capable people.
If our volunteers in India are reading this then you should be proud of yourselves. You're doing a great job and your fellow CoAid-ers in USA and around the world are doing all we can to support you guys!
Looking forward to more great things over the next days and weeks.
Steve
