Wrote a letter to encouage our India teams...
The following letter was just sent to our Community Relief Teams in India.
I share this letter with you all because I think it's important to know that partnership, teamwork and communicating a strong sense of purpose it vital in what we do and why we do it. Hopefully, it will shed further light on our mission and core values.
Blessings,
Steve
Dear Friends,
It is my great privilege to be writing to you.
Even though we have never met we have much in common. We love the Lord Jesus Christ, long to serve Him, and it breaks our hearts when we see the innocents suffer when natural disaster strikes.
We read quite plainly in Matthew 25:35-40 that whatever we do for the poor and vulnerable, we do to Christ himself.
This is the time to rise up and act on behalf of those that are currently suffering and minister to their physical and emotional needs in the name of Christ.
I have had the great joy to meet and get to know your friend Bhargav Kurapati. Since he came to work in Denver, USA we have shared many things, learned much together and have been talking about such a time as this when we can help one another.
I am greatly encouraged in my heart to know that you are preparing yourselves to go to the areas where the recent floods have hit hardest and distribute much needed relief supplies.
CoAid USA will do all we can to make sure the necessary funds are made available and as quickly as possible. Please pray that our supporters will open their wallets and checkbooks and give generously.
Please act wisely and diligently. Do not waste any of these precious resources -- lives could depend on them.
We will provide you all with a CoAid T-shirt that you can wear. It will show that you are part of a team with a common purpose and goal.
CoAid is a small but enthusiastic organization. We're excited to be partnering with you. Our ultimate goal is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those lost in darkness. One strategy to do this is to first address their physical needs. This is why we're doing this.
Please pray for opportunities and act with all wisdom, grace and humility as the Holy Spirit leads you. Be prayerful and encourage one another as well.
Please take good care of yourselves... get good rest, eat enough and try not to get sick!
We're all looking forward to hearing more news from the field and seeing any photos you can send.
Gods richest blessings be with you all!
On behalf of all the CoAid USA Team,
Sincerely,
Steve Neill
