COAID IS PARTNERING WITH HOPE FORCE INTERNATIONAL IN HAITI

CoAid is pleased to announce that they are partnering with Hope Force International (www.hopeforce.org) to send immediate relief aid to Haiti.

Haiti: 7.0 magnitude earthquake

Following the devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti yesterday, CoAid is monitoring the situation very closely. As the full extent of the situation becomes clear, we will be formulating our response which is likely to take the form of recovery than immediate disaster relief. CoAid is contacting other agencies who have a presense in Haiti and we hope to partner with them to deliver aid.

Human Trafficking Awareness Day... President Obama, CoAid, and $1M

Much of what CoAid does to assist vulnerable communities relates to the sad reality of forced migration: people made homeless through natural disasters, people made refugees by conflict, people forced to seek asylum due to harsh political regimes, and people forced into modern-day slavery.

The emotional, spiritual, practical, and social support CoAid provides acts as a tool of prevention to the tragedy of human trafficking that pervades the communities in which we serve.

In Round 1 of the Chase Community Giving contest on Facebook, CoAid was chosen as a top 100 charity and awarded $25,000. Round 2 of the contest is about to start and we have a chance of winning $100,000 or $1,000,000!

Voting will take place during 15th to 22nd January (only 8 days) and we're depending on your vote and support to help us win so we can do more for communities affected by conflict and natural disaster.
